Treating People and Their Pets with Kindness!

No DescriptionPets Need Dental Care, Too No Description

According to the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS) more than 80% of dogs and cats over the age of three suffer from periodontal disease.  It is the number one health problem diagnosed in dogs and cats.  Routine professional cleaning prevents gum disease, tooth loss, pain, and infection from entering the blood stream leading to systemic diseases.

Professional treatment of periondontal disease is done under anesthesia, using different anesthetic protocols depending on your pet's age and health.  A dental prophylaxis is performed not only to clean the teeth, but also to evaluate the oral cavity for any other problems that might be present. The cleaning not only includes what you can see, but also the area under the gumline.  The mechanical removal of the plaque and calculus causes microscopic roughening of the tooth surface. Polishing your pet's teeth will smooth the surface and decrease the adhesive ability of plaque.  Your pet will be able to go home the same day of the dental procedure.

We offer dental care supplies from C.E.T.such as toothbrushes and pet safe toothpastes in flavors such as beef, malt, poultry and vanilla mint, oral hygiene rinses, water additives and dental chews.  Dental care at home is important in between professional cleanings.

You can add 2-4 years to your pet's life with proper dental care!
