Dr. Matthew C. Godwin

Dr. Matthew C. Godwin is a General Practitioner who joined Raytown-Gregory Animal Health Center in June of 2017.

Dr. Godwin grew up in Grandview, MO where he became an Eagle Scout. After graduating high school, Dr. Godwin entered Drury University, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Biology. The next fall, he enrolled in the University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.

Dr. Godwin chose a career in veterinary medicine because of his love for animals and fascination with science. He believes in strengthening the relationships with our pets through preventative medicine and care.

Dr. Godwin’s areas of professional interest include anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, opthalmology, and preventative medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Godwin and his wife, Tarryn, have two cats and a ferret named Mama, Maia, and Addie. His hobbies include camping, hiking, reading, and riding his motorcycle.
